Perhaps the most famous Muay Thai fighter in the world due to his success in K-1, contraversies with his former management and major advertising deals with big brands like Singha, Buakaw has become a superstar in Thailand.
He’s most likely the highest paid fighter in the country, but does that stop him from climbing the rope in his gym and hanging from about 25 feet in the air? Nope!
You gotta love that “live in the moment” mentality that’s so prevalent among Thai’s.
Buakaw has been fighting in a Chinese based promotion lately, and has come under criticism for not facing high level Thai opponents.
There’s been rumours of a fight with Yodsanklai, but nothing confirmed as of yet. Hopefully it ends up happening though. I can’t think of a fight I’d wanna see more.
