So there was another “Thai Fight Extreme” event today in Hong Kong featuring some of the biggest names in the sport. Buakaw Por Pramuk fought Gilmar China from Brazil and as expected, Buakaw dominated all 3 rounds in route to a decision victory. Buakaw has been on a win streak lately but in this particular fight, he showed the type of aggression that made him such a fan favorite in the K-1 Max tournaments. Towards the end of the fight (which was only 3 rounds) Buakaw looked somewhat exhausted – which isn’t so much a sign of poor conditioning but rather, in this case, it’s more of a testament to the intensity that he was fighting at.
Gilmar China, while relatively unknown to most, showed a lot of heart for sticking in there but unfortunately for him, his potential punching power and awkward fighting style seemed to have brought out the best in Buakaw. More fight videos from the night (including the Yodanklai fight) will be posted as they become available.
