Greatest Kick in MMA History

The other night, at last MMA event under the WEC banner, Anthony Pettis “ran off the cage like a ninja” (in the words of an amazed Stephan Bonner) and kicked Ben Henderson across the face. The crowd went nuts and the kick was instantly labelled as an MMA classic. The best kick of 2010 and likely the best, most innovative kick in the history of the sport.

Pettis, who trains his Muay Thai under the tutelage of Duke Roufas, earned himself a title shot with the performance. He will fight the winner of the upcoming lightweight title fight between Frankie Edgar vs Grey Maynard to unify the lightweight title. Here’s the video..
