GSP has won the Canadian “athlete of the year” award on multiple occasions and to add to that, he’s the most marketable fighter in the UFC. He has sponsorships from major brands such as Under Armour and Gatorade and as the sport gains more popularity, I imagine he’ll be getting a lot more offers as other companies start using the athletes of MMA to market their products. When Nike wants to get their foot in the door, I imagine they would use someone like GSP to represent their brand.
