Top King Muay Thai Gloves
Company Product Description
“Extra-long cuff with elastic and full-wrist Velcro closure. Designed for more secure fit, tighter wrist support and ease of use. Engineered with an oversized inner back-hand compartment for protection during training and sparring. 100% Cow skin leather.”
Personal Experience
I bought a pair of these gloves from the “Top King” shop outside the Lumpinee stadium in Bangkok. I bought them when I first arrived, which was about 6 months ago and I’ve been using them nearly everyday since.
I’m not a huge fan of Twins gloves and I’ve always preferred Fairtex. I found that Fairtex provided a better fit (especially around the fingers) than the Twins gloves but I found a couple downsides with the Fairtex gloves.
The first is that they’re extremely hard. Now, that’s not a problem if you’re just hitting pads and the heavy bag but when you’re sparring, it’s not appreciated. The second problem with the Fairtex gloves is that they literally fell apart (I was using them during my 2nd trip to Thailand).
Having been using these Top King gloves for the past 6 months, I can tell you that I’m extremely impressed with them. They offer a much better fit than the Twins gloves (a similar fit to the Fairtex) only while the Fairtex gloves are a little too hard and of poor quality (as they fell apart on me), these Top King gloves look almost new – despite half a year of heavy usage.
Up until this point, I can honestly say that these are the best Muay Thai gloves that I have ever used.

Venom “Competition Tour” Camouflage Fight Shorts
Company Description
The venom competitor II MMA shorts in camo are one of the most popular shorts on the market. Constructed with a heavy duty rip-stop material to ensure long product life.
Personal Experience
With Thailand being as awesome as it is, I was walking down the street one day and I saw a vendor stationed in a little alleyway selling MMA fight shorts. They had a huge selection of Venom’s – which is awesome because I’ve always wanted a pair and the only way for me to get my hands on them previously was to order them.
That day, I purchased a pair of the Venom “competition” camouflage fight shorts as well as a second pair by the “Vitamins and Minerals” brand. Anyway, I wore the Venom fight shorts during my afternoon Muay Thai session and fell in love with them immediately.
They fit well, they have a draw string so you can tighten them at the waste as much as you see fit and the fabric in general is of very high quality. I don’t see this ripping at all, no matter how much training I do in them. They also have a slit up the side of the leg that allows for unobstructed movement – particularly important for throwing kicks and knees. I’m def. impressed with these shorts and now that I’m back home, I wouldn’t sell them for double what I paid for them.
