The second part of 2010 G.G veteran Stefan Leko and new upcoming 70kg GG talented fighter William van Roosmalen winning their fights in Amsterdam Sporthal Zuid on September 12th.
Nieky Holzken walked into a punch in the first 20 sec of the fight and asked for a rematch.
Two days later an army of G.G heavyweights is traveling to Pattaya, Thailand to prepare for the K-1 WGP series on October 2nd in Korea.
Alistair Overeem, Errol Zimmerman, Gokhan Saki, Sergey Kharitonov, Chalid Arrab, Stefan Leko, Philip Verlinden, Nieky Hemmers, Cor Hemmers, Bas Boon are to be found daily at the Pattaya, Thailand training center.
With temperatures exceeding 34 degrees the team trains twice a day. Sparring, pad training, condition training, running, swimming is the daily routine for the Golden Glory Group. The training is under the guidance of Cor Hemmers under a daily brutal burning sun he brings his almost “sadomasochistic” training schedules to work.
It is only because of will power and determination that the group is training everyday and good food an Thai massages do help of course.
On the other side of the Ocean in Holland another G.G fighter with the name of Semmy Schilt is preparing for the K-1 WGP final 16 Korea. With the help of G.G Romania who always brings a group of great sparring partners, Semmy is going to conquer his 5th K-1 WGP title.
Together with Dave Jonkers and Horia from Romania Semmy is getting his daily routine of crazy training schedules to become even more fit and dangerous then during his last domination and fastest K-1 GP win ever in the history of K-1.
International in the same month of October Golden Glory fighter Marloes Coenen will fight for the world strike force title and Jason Jones will fight in Macau. Don’t be surprised if that same Golden Glory logo will be in your face in the month October, G.G is all over the globe.
The Golden Glory team would like to dedicate all fights in October to their friend a chief navy seal Adam Brown who was killed in action in Afghanistan.
