Muay Thai Combat Expo

About a week ago, I posted a video of Buakaw Por Pramuk and Saenchai Sor Kingstar sparring with each other at a Muay Thai expo in Italy. Well, a few more videos have surfaced that feature some of the other top names in the sport giving demonstrations. Saenchai, Buakaw, Askerov, Pinto, Watson – they can all be seen in the videos below.

What I like about this – especially this first video which features a few rounds between Dzhabar Askerov and Antoine Pinto – is that they’re going light and showboating a bit so by watching it, you can learn some pretty cool techniques. While on the topic, I’ve always felt that I learn a lot when I train at gyms with a lot of younger fighters training because you can notice the little details of their technique a lot more at that age.

In these videos, I’ve learned a throw from the clinch from Saenchai, some nice spinning elbow strikes by Askerov and a unique way to block while attacking with a knee strike from Pinto. Pretty cool too because you can keep re-watching a technique until you pick up the details. Anyway, here they are..
